NCDHD understands concerns over the new COVID-19 virus can make us anxious. While we don’t know where and to what extent this disease may spread here in Nebraska, we do know that it is contagious. As we go about our daily lives, we ask that you remain watchful in yourself, your family, and those you may care for when it comes to symptoms of illness. New Grants Available

The State of Nebraska has made new funding opportunities available to eligible businesses and nonprofits. Application windows open at 10 a.m. October 21 and close on November 13.

Learn more and apply online, as much of the funding will be distributed on a first-come, first served basis. Call 1-833-500-8810 for more information, weekdays from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Opportunities include:

  • Grants for eligible charitable organizations and licensed care providers to cover operating expenses ($12K in most cases)
  • Grants for eligible centers of worship to cover costs of PPE ($1,500)
  • Grants for eligible livestock producers to cover operating expenses (up to $12K)
  • Grants for eligible hotels and convention centers to cover operating expenses (amount TBD)
  • Grants for eligible event centers and sports arenas to cover operating expenses (amount TBD)
  • Grants for eligible restaurants and bars to cover operating expenses (up to $24K)
  • Grants for eligible body art/nail/cosmetology/esthetic/hair/massage establishments to cover operating expenses (up to $12K)
  • Grants for eligible movie theatre establishments to cover operating expenses ($10K per screen)
  • Grants for other eligible small businesses to cover operating expenses (up to $12K)
